Tribal Inspi*red

I'm late and I haven't updated in days.
I'm so sorry.
All I can say is my internet has been on the fritz but I'm back now.
I feel so out of touch but I haven't missed out completely.
You know your girl Madi hasn't missed out on literary fashion.
Barnes and Noble keeps me inspired!
(I promise, I could spend hours in that place and never get tired)
My childhood friend from Jamaica is coming to school here this fall and has moved here.
It's been a blast with her so far.
I can't wait to introduce you and take pictures. :]

I nabbed this stunning photo from Coco+Kelley
Mixing prints has been in fashion this year since the spring.
And, yes, you CAN pull this off.
Let's take a look at why this outfit works so well, as explained by Coco+Kelley and added on things by me:

1. The colors are neutral enough that its not too crazy.
(Notice that there is black in the dress and the jacket.)

2. It's still unexpected enough that its sooo awesome.

3. She also kept things kind of simple with her hair and accessories.
(Though I believe that if she went a little more flashy, this still would have rocked)

3. The shapes are classic. The silhouettes of the jacket and the dress are simple and not too crazy so that everything flows together.

You CAN mix prints if you have still been too chicken to do so.
So...
What has been inspiring you lately?
Tell your girl all about it!
I'm suddenly feeling very bohemian.
:]
Have a good day!
xoxo

P.S. Here's a pic from when I went to the Zoo with some of my youth group last thursday
I LOVED the birds! More pics to come.
