L-O-L-O-L-O-L-O-V-E

Just, Just, DANCE!! Gonna be ok..do do do do Just DANCE! :) Bonjour, mes amis. You should know by now that I love DIY projects. There is nothing better than that rushing feeling of pride you get when you are looking at something beautiful that you have made! Plus they are lots of fun and a great boredom killer. I saw this A-D-ORABLE project-inspired by the marc jacobs bag- on the quirky, colourful beckerman sister's blog. With Valentine's day this weekend, You should all totally be fabulous and do it yourself-only, of course, after lots of sweets and fun out with friends because you totally dont care about anyone being your Valentine. You are being completely selfish this year and you dont care about any guys except to maybe send them a card if they're lucky. Or..wait...that's me. :p Yes, my dears. I do not have a Valentine. I have many. ;] But Im going to send them adorable cards. I might post the DIY later but I totally dont want any of them to see it!!

Anyway, enough rambling! MORE DIY!!!  I am going to make a bag instead of a pair of shorts, but the shorts are adorable!!

INspiration:

Project:

Step 1: Get a pair of great, old jeans you want to cut into shorts. Also get four different colors of denim (Acid wash, light grey, sky blue, dark blue) for cutting out heart patches.

Step 2:Make two sizes of hearts (out of cardboard) and trace them onto the back of the colorful swatches of denim you are going to use for the hearts. Make sure you trace the hearts on the back of the denim. That way when you cut them out the pen is on the back of the hearts, and not on the front of them.

Step 3: Lay the multi-colored hearts on denim shorts and pin them in their desired places.(Pull out the pocket bags so they don't get pinned down)

Step 4: Sew the hearts down with your sewing machine in a "V" like formation while taking out the pins as you go. If you don't have a sewing machine you can use fabric glue instead. Just make sure you use a lot of it! Trim threads on front and inside!

Step 5: Decorate one back pocket with hearts! Its okay if you sew it down and the pocket doesn't open!

Step 6: Voila! You are done! YAY! (watch the video for more details!)
You can watch the video here

And if there's anyway you want to sport your fabulousity of a handbag or maybe >somehow< wear your shorts with one of these couture gowns from Eli Saab...I'll totally be beating you down with my handbag and stealing your dress.
